Bike helmet lamp

A light made by Alison Morris, a year 12 student from Southam School, Leamington, Warwickshire.

Design brief: “Design and Make a Lighting Product using reclaimed, scrapped or found objects and materials”

This light shade is made from two disused cycle helmets put together to form a ‘globe', with the spikes of plumbing pipe inserted into the carefully drilled holes. The stem also makes use of an old plumbing pipe and stands in a cast aluminium base.
