Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) a plant, animal or micro-organism produced or changed by genetic engineering 
geodesic dome a lightweight dome constructed of interlocking polygons

glycerin a thick liquid obtained from fats and oils as a by-product of soap manufacture 
GNP per capita ($US) the GNP divided by the number of people in the country calculated in US dollars. Comparing the GNP per capita of different countries is a useful way to assess each country's relative wealth or poverty 
gourd a large, fleshy fruit with a hard skin often used as a container
