Additional Tasks

Talk to your teacher or parent about making a stove of your own from clay. You can get details of stove dimensions and manufacture from Practical Action at the address given under Where to find out more.

Carry out an energy survey at home or at school. Start by listing all the things that use energy. Then for each example, list all the ways in which you think energy could be saved during the day.

Discuss the following statements:
- unless we use energy better, there won’t be any left for our children
- household tasks should be divided equally between men and women.
