Fair trade moisturiser

Additional tasks

If you are interested in how The Body Shop chooses ingredients for its products, why not write to the company for more information. Perhaps someone would be able to come and talk to your class - they may even bring some samples!

We know that the women of Ghana use shea butter as a moisturiser. Can you find out what young people in other countries use as cosmetics and toiletries? Do people use the same things in southern countries as in Europe? Why not write or send an e-mail to STEP to try to find out more.

The way we use cosmetics and toiletries has changed over time. Boys and young men now use products that their fathers would never have dreamed of using. Carry out a survey to find out what percentage of boys and girls in your group use cosmetics. What do they use? Are any of the ingredients the same?
